Nilambur Muslim Orphanage born in 1969 with eight inmates has now grown into a great cause. Nearly 700 children have successfully passed out from this institution. At present the orphanage has 207 inmates, with 102 boys and 105 girls. They consist of orphans and destitutes, studying in different levels from pre-primary to Post Graduation. The Orphanage launched a College of Arabic Studies (1995) as part of its Silver Jubilee Celebrations, and the first batch of Afdul-ul Ulama (final) course passed out last year. Besides religious studies and regular academic lessons, Vocational training is also imparted to the students.

At Amal School (Established in 2000) the learning process is seen as one that is both challenging and enjoyable. We believe education should foster creativity, independent thinking, exploration and experimentation as a life long process.

Amal College of Advanced Studies (Established in 2005) is run by the Nilambur Muslim Orphanage Committee to impart quality Higher Education to the people of backward and rural areas, especially to the orphans, destitutes and Backward Communities.

‘Jan Shikshan Sansthan –Malappuram’ (Institute of People’s Education) Sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development & Department of School Education & Literacy allotted to the orphanage for developing rural and backward classes employment.

The Orphanage Committee has plans to launch a few more ventures, aimed at preparing the children to face the tough challenges of changing times.
