Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) implemented by National Skill Development Corporation. The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Self Employed Tailor, Nilambur

Ist Batch

  1. 4 persons are working in Vikas stitching unit, Nilambur

  2. 2 persons are accommodated in Akampadam stitching unit

  3. Emore, a flourishing unit in Thondi, has appointed 3 candidates

  4. One in Veliyamkode unit and another person in a shop in Charamkulam, the rest of candidates earn working at home.

IInd Batch

  1. Six person started unit in Velliyamkode

  2. Four have joined Vikas, a unit in Veettikkuth, Nilambur

  3. One is working in Emore, a garment unit in Muthukad, near Nilambur Railway Station and the rest earn a decent income working at home.

IIIrd Batch

  1. Three working in Vadapuram Unit. Two persons are with Sajida in Meeha Tailoring unit at Chandakunnu

  2. One is in Vikas, Chandakunnu

  3. The rest take independent orders and work from home.
