Project Summary
PMKVY is an important scheme of MSDE. The objective of this skill certification is to enable the youth to take up industry-relevant skill training for a better livelihood. Recognition and standardisation are also assured. The importance is on ensuring that the trained candidates are placed through linkages with industry and employers. The candidates in the age group of fifteen to thirty-five are selected for the training programmes.JSS Malappuram has been conducting training in its two training centres at Nilambur and Manjeri.
NAI MANZIL
The project Nai Manzil comes under the Ministry of Minority Affairs – an integrated education and livelihood initiative for the minority communities aided by the World Bank.This beautiful project is quite a good chance for school dropouts and those who have been denied schooling through educations along with skill training. They can elevate themselves through education for leading a life worthwhile. This project is implemented in the minority concentrated coastal area of Malappuram district of Kerala state by Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Malappuram.
Additional Skill Accreditation Programme
ASAP, under the General and Higher Education Departments, works by training Higher Secondary and graduate students. To eradicate the growing unemployment rates among the educated, this project was enacted. Kerala has the human resource and potential to soar up to become a radical point for the skilled manpower to the world. Community Skill Parks is an innovative idea in ASAP. They are large multi-skill training facilities to provide higher-order skill training. Internship programmes based on passion and efficiency are a speciality of the project. Practical training in communication skills, IT skills and Industrial skills are envisioned for advanced skill development.
